Instrumentation Engineer
Qualification:
- Bachelor degree – technical profile, preferably Automation or Electrotechnics;
- Minimum 5 years experience in a project with medium and high CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) value, starting from the incipient phase until the commissioning phase;
- Previous activity in AMC industrial design;
- Knowledge in field equipment: pressure and temperature transducers, differential pressure transducers, pressure switches, regulators, analyzers. Principles of operation;
- Knowledge of gauges and recording equipment. Principles and methods of signal transmission. Signal converters;
- Knowledge of programmable equipment and frequency converters;
- Knowledge of operations with Siemens PLCs (STEP 7), Telemecanique, Allen Bradley;
- Knowledge of SCADA control and acquisition systems; • Familiar with technological schemes of industrial installations, P&ID’s, circuits and automation;
- Computer skills: AutoCAD, Office 365 suite, specific calculation and design software (is an advantage);
- Candidate must be adaptable, good communicator, stress-resistant and able to work under pressure of deadlines;
- Foreign languages: English – advanced level;
- Availability for site visits.
Position propose:
- Basic & Detail Design Engineering activities for the assigned projects, following the Company’s established procedures;
- Programming and Configuration of different types of instruments;
- Commissioning and Start-up activities;
- Interface with other disciplines, user departments and the Client.

- Prepares and checks the following documents, in accordance with the contractual requirements, process specifications, quality procedures, project budget and execution time allocated:
- Instruments technical data sheet;
- Technical data sheet for regulating valves;
- Instruments list;
- I/O and calibration list;
- Technical specifications of junction boxes;
- Technical specifications for cables;
- Junction boxes configuration;
- Loops drawings;
- Logical diagrams;
- Connection drawings (process / electric / pneumatic);

- Calculation and dimensioning of power supply circuits for instruments;
- Calculation and verification of intrinsically safe circuits;
- PLC and automation panels technical specifications;
- Technical specifications of analyzers;
- Detailed drawings for grounding of instruments and systems;
- Technical specifications of the electrical heating systems of the instruments;
- Detailed drawings for instruments heat tracing systems;
- Cause & Effect diagrams;
- Control Philosophy description;
- Technical evaluation of offers received from manufacturers;
- Participates in KOM, FAT, HAZOP and SIL studies;
- Report directly to the E&I design team leader about the actual status and progress of engineering activities and design documents delivery term.
