New 200.000 Mt grains terminal in Constanta Port

Overview
Ludan Engineering has successfully completed a full-scope infrastructure project for a new grain terminal at Constanța Port, commissioned by CHIMPEX. Designed to enhance Romania’s agri-export capacity, the terminal enables high-efficiency grain intake, storage, and vessel loading operations.
The project involved:
- 778 piles drilled, totalling 15,800 linear meters
- 32,100 m³ of earthworks and 20,800 m² of formworks
- 3,590,000 kg of reinforcement bars and 40,200 m³ of concrete poured
- 1,120,000 kg of steel structure installed
- 100,000 linear meters of electrical cabling
- An average workforce of 290 people and over 760,000 man-hours
Ludan managed engineering, procurement, and execution in line with EU standards for food safety, environmental compliance, and maritime operations.
This achievement reinforces Ludan’s capability to deliver complex port infrastructure that supports CHIMPEX’s growth and strengthens Romania’s role in global agri-trade.
